Frequently Asked Questions about Orycta.
Orycta Xplore is a cutting edge geo-intelligence platform where geotechnical engineers and companies can store, manage, analyze and share their geodata. It offers in-depth analysis of factual data, advanced visualization tools and dynamic graphs and reporting to help geotechnical engineers and designers decode and interpret subsurface information.
Xplore is a project base geo-intelligence database. You set up your current or previous projects and the platform will auto-generate for you all available maps, graphs and tables that you would normally find in geotechnical reports. However, every part of your report and data is interactive and dynamic instead of static. So, what you get is dynamic factual and interpretative graphs, dynamic reports and 2D and 3D interactive visualizations. You can see all your boreholes in a 3D environment or create 2D sections with a click of a button. You can also easily share or collaborate with clients or colleagues on the platform itself.

Yes, free trial version is available for single users. Please sign up with a personal email and activate the Opal (free) individual plan on your email. The trial version is completely free and you do not need a credit card to sign up, however there is a quota limit on one project and maximum 20 investigation points.
Everything is configured so you can access automatically the platform and start working on your first project right away. However, you should also expect someone from Orycta’s technical team to contact you within 24 hours to make sure you have access training right away.
Users can cancel their subscription to Orycta Xplore at any time through their account settings on the platform. Alternatively, they can contact our customer support team via email to request a cancellation. You can cancel any subscription package and expect to get a full refund within the first 30 days. If a cancellation request is made after this 30 day grace period, users will continue to have access to their subscription until the end of the current billing cycle, at which point access will be revoked. No refunds will be issued once the 30 day grace period has passed.

We currently support AGS and Excel data formats. If your data is stored in PDF reports we will semi-automatically convert your data to one of the above formats for free so you can start building your project.
At the moment, we operate on a month and a half development cycle, which means that you should be able to see incremental improvements on the platform every other month. If you purchase a premium subscription we also offer free tool development in all our clients (we will customize with you the interpretation tools you need, you can check the different subscription packages for more information).
Orycta partners with Amazon web services to make sure that your data is fully protected and safe. On top, we add our own layer of encryption to the data you store in our server. We always strive to improve data security. Please read our terms and conditions for more information.
Orycta is not the owner of your data by any means. You own your data and the responsibility of how you share your data through Xplore platform stays with you. Orycta will not try to benefit from or sell your data to third parties. We might however use your data internally to improve your experience as a user or improve our platform’s UI.
